Think Twice Before Firing Editors
In a move that seems to epitomize the recent decline of the newspaper industry, last week the Toronto Star decided to let go of a hundred members of its pre-publishing and editorial divisions.
One of the scorned staffers channeled the energy set free by the mass layoff into a vengeant act of copy editing that very literally underscores just how desperately the paper needs the editors it plans to fire. Brilliant!
